RAF Marham 9th Bomber Squadron Home Coming.

Downham Market, Norfolk.I couldent miss this,  It was important.

This is the Home coming parade and ceremony of the 9th Bomber Squadron which has just done 4 months duties in Afganistan and they are to receive the Operational Medal.   They have a long and close relationship with Downham Market and the people who live there,  in fact the pupils of Hilcrest Primary School wrote to each one of them at Christmas and was well appreciated by the men and women of the Squadron,   my granddaughter Katie was one of those pupils.

The band of the Royal Air force College leads the Parade to the Town Hall.

"allo"!  How did Herman get in there,   perhaps they just captured him,  don't look happy.        I'm sure he played his part.

At ease.

Lining up to receive their medals.

Families and friends mingle after the ceremony

Nasty piece of work!

Nice piece of work.  hmmm ,      "What you got in that bag"?   I think it was the medals.

RAF veterans.

'Laddie'  who helps with recuperation round the hospitals.
