Monday 1st September Ingrebourne Valley

The numbers of BTGs have crept back to 30 plus today ( hope the rain tonight isn't much)   also 2 Green Sandpipers are showing with a good number of Snipe,  mainly in the back scrape, 4
Spotted Flycatchers were still flitting around at the iron bridge area  3 Yellow Wagtails flew over to the top Paddock while 1 Wheatear was visible on the fence at the far end ( cable wheel ) .   There seem to be plenty of Willow Warblers about showing some bright Yellow colour feeding with the Tit flocks which also included Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs.  There was 1 Sedge Warbler feeding along the fence of the bottom Paddock strange to see but wellcome.  At 10 past 12 while we were standing on the iron bridge looking at the Godwits in the Shallows, a Female Marsh Harrier appeared over the scrape being hassled by a Crow,  it stayed around for about 10 minutes before drifting off up the marsh,  must be bird of the day.
