Sea Eagles, Isle of Skye, David McGough Junior.

Now that Son David has established himself on Skye he is now going on bird surveys with a neighbour who has been doing them for some time,  he seems to be enjoying himself   learning where different species hang out,  can't wait to get there.     Photo's by David McGough Junior.     (Skye Birds).

Fairlop Waters and Dagenham Chase

Russ and I took another look at both places and were rewarded by both the birds and the sun with the Great Northern Diver and a surprise appearance of a Peregrine Falcon at Fairlop Waters,  and then the Ferruginous Duck at the Chase.

Short-Eared Owl at Mucking

Russ and I took a reasonable early trip to EWTs  Thurrock nature Park on Wednesday,  got there to early for the gate to be open so we parked up and headed up the path,  no sooner had we started walking when a Short-Eared Owl came flying towards us,   it eventually settled on a fence post along the circular path and we managed to get some photos.   Although there seems to be a good number of these fabulous birds about at the moment this one appears to be the only one here.  I am hoping that when the weather changes this weekend it will push more of these birds and other species down.
