Norfolk sun 29th july to mon 6th aug

Wheatear,  Titchwell,  Just arrived.    Went to norfolk to see the grandchildren and celebrate our granddaughters 8th birthday and our daughters 38th birthday,  in the mean time I could look around the area,   wheyhey!

 Top Half.   This Grass Snake was 6 foot plus with a large wound which did not seem to impede it's mobility.  Never seen one this big.

Downham Market Dragon Race, Great Ouse.

We had a great day at the annual Downham Market Dragon race on the Great Ouse.  Around 20 teams took part and slugged it out all day in races of three boats to get to the final.      It was mad but all good fun with my son-in-law taking part,  well done Stuart.

More local Butterflies RSPB and The Valley

Brilliant weather,  and sure enough between 11 and 12 o'clock 2 White-Letter Hairstreaks appeared on the Bramble flowers to feed ,  great views.

White-Letter Hairstreak,  arse end.  Looks like another one of them Aliens.
