Stow Maries Airfield 6th April 2011

A most unusual place with diverse habitat.  It's like the English countryside was many years ago.  Probably hasn't change since it was built for the 1st world war.   Many buildings from that time still standing, a ghostly place but beguiling.  Fields enclosed by thick thorny hedges,  wide open spaces with double barbed wire fencing all around,  wild life meadows and hills rolling down towards the river crouch,  old woods.  Superb  habitat.
