Another day at Abberton reservoir, this time with Russ Sherriff, and we had a great day for birds , (only) the weather spoilt it. The photo's of the Smew were taken through the wire fencing from inside the car on the first causeway so as not to disturb it. Eventually someone did get out of their car and walk up to the fence and off it went. "Stop moaning McGough". Back at the reserve we saw 3 Bullfinches around the "doomed" woodland, and from the hides we saw 4 Bewick Swans, Plenty of Goldeneye, Ring-Tailed Hen Harrier, Pair of Marsh Harriers, Common Buzzard and lots of the usual Wildfowl.
